Consultancy Offer: CMA New Jazz Works applications

Calling all jazz composers and bandleaders! Chamber Music America’s wonderful program New Jazz Works is accepting applications until March 8. This application requires a work sample, a history of your ensemble, a description of your past work for it, and a proposal for a new work that you would create for the ensemble if you received the grant. This highly competitive grant is one of the best in the field, and I highly recommend that anyone who is serious about composing in jazz should apply. I can help you pick a work sample, develop a proposal, and/or edit your draft of the narrative portion of your application.

I’m offering one-hour consultations for $50. This includes an hour in discussion with me, an hour of my time in preparation, and a short follow-up session. This is an affordable way to get expert advice on your application, and it has been a very popular package. If you’re serious about giving yourself a real shot at winning this grant, you should consider hiring me to help you. As a past grantee of this program and an experienced grant writer, I will be able to offer a perspective gained from direct experience with the program and with many other grants.
