Douglas Detrick is available to work as a composer, arranger, transcriber, engraver and copyist on a freelance basis. Because of his extensive experience as a composer, performer and educator, Detrick can produce professional arrangements, transcriptions, scores and parts that will not only look beautiful and professional, but will be functional to performers, conductors and educators. All notation, in whatever style is appropriate, is accurate, correct, user-friendly and as simple as possible in order to aid performance or study. Detrick uses Finale 2010.
Detrick has over 8 years of experience as a composer, and extensive professional experience as a copyist and transcriber. Detrick has prepared music for the Emerald City Jazz Kings, The Shedd Institute for the Arts, the University of Oregon Gospel Choirs and has done many transcriptions in his music studies, most recently in his master’s degree work at the University of Oregon.
