Douglas Detrick's Cartography Trio explores the landscape of American music, from gospel to blues, jazz and chamber music through original compositions and unique arrangements of traditional songs. The newest of Detrick's many musical projects, ranging from a big band to the chamber-jazz quintet AnyWhen Ensemble, this group continues his commitment to the blending of jazz with chamber music, this time through original songs inspired by the many channels of the American folk tradition.
