The best way to give yourself a real chance to win arts grants is to learn the language of grant seeking, and what you can expect from particular grants and from the grant seeking process as a whole. Learn where and how to look for grants Time is precious when you are an artist, so it’s important to know what resources are available and what to look for so you don’t waste your time. This workshop will show you the best resources for research and how to use them. Learn the fundamentals of budgeting A grant budget is different from an accounting budget. We will talk about how to communicate to a potential funder that you can be trusted with their money. Learn to write a compelling proposal If you can write well about your ideas, then you’re much more likely to get your ideas funded. Good writing is not rocket science, but there are some important guidelines that we will discuss. Click here to RSVP now! This workshop will be a relaxed meeting of artists with common interests, and I make sure no one feels intimidated because they don’t know anything about grant writing. Beyond a great opportunity to improve your career, this will be a great place to meet like-minded artists who could be an important part of your community! Please follow this link to RSVP.
